Carrying on 8/22/23

Sorry for being slow to update today.

Justin is looking better. Fever and blood pressure are down. Sodium is slow to respond but has come up since yesterday. He has the eeg feeds off and got his hair washed and a "bath" yesterday! He is also getting "food" through the ng tube.

There is no improvement to speech or right side movement, but he still can understand everything and recognizes things. Anyone that wants to send Steve or I a picture or video, we can show him.

They have found a blood clot in his brain, which is not too abnormal in his situation. It is not blocking the vein (or artery, I don't know), so they are planning to start him on blood thinners. He is getting a CT scan right now to get a closer look at something they saw on an ultrasound today. More on that later. He will stay in ICU tonight.

Thank you for all your messages and prayers. Please keep praying!
