Evening 8/22/23

 Tonight I (kim) went through rounds with the doctors.  He is on the blood thinners, actually call them anticoagulants please. 😉 That should help for any potential blood clots.  

 I'm typing this on my phone which is a pain  So I'm going to put a number next to the things to pray for because I can't underline.😶

What they saw in the neck with the ultrasound they did not see on a CT.  They did see some fluid in the lungs, which can be normal for someone that's not moving much. Hopefully PT/OT will help tomorrow if they can 1 get him up. 👍 they're also installing the 2 pic line under sedation (not anesthesia) in the morning to be able to administer meds and draw blood more easily. 

 Fever and Blood Pressure still seem under control. 3 Sodium is still low  But with the pic line they can give him the stronger dose again.

 4 Please pray for Justin's mind and spirit. I was able to understand he was asking me what happened, and it makes him very sad.  He had  the sweetest nurse for the past 2 days and when she told him she's off tomorrow he cried. it's hard changing staff but they are very good about prepping the next crew for how to work with him emotionally in addition to the medical stuff for which I'm very grateful.

    Hello dear friends, just read all of these posts. Wow! You are so brave and handling this amazingly well! I can’t even imagine how emotionally taxing it’s been for you. PRAISE GOD that He brought Dr Coleman to you at just the right time. It brings tears to my eyes knowing that God’s truth “I will never leave you nor forsake you” is your reality on this very difficult road. Another truth…Psalm 23 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Thank you Jesus. Thank you for Justin and for Kim and Steve and for Jovi. Thank you for their love for you and for your endless love for them. And thank you for their community of soldiers battling in prayer in your name Jesus. We thank you and praise you and ask that you would continue to cover Justin in your blood Lord. Continue to protect him and heal his body, mind, spirit. I pray for peace, strength and rest for Kim and Steve Lord so that they can be alert and able to manage through this process. We give you ALL the Glory, Lord. Amen!

    Father may OT/PT get him up. 👍 Father may his pic line under sedation (not anesthesia) be easily put in this morning. Lord, please restore his sodium level to normal.
    Lord we do pray for Justin's mind and spirit. Father, please be with his nurse today that she would care for him well.

    We love you so much Kim and are praying for you, your family and your sweet Justin. I hope he is able to recoup his ability to communicate soon and that his spirits will inevitably rise with the ability to be understood. We will be specific in our prayers for those things Justin needs.

    Justin hang in there! Mom and dad too! It is so much easier said than done so We are sending you strength prayers, healthy and happy prayers and very speedy recovery double prayers! I hope the kids get you all some video messages really soon. I know they all want to hug you and tell you how much they are thinking and caring every day. Holidays 2023 written 12/31/23

We enjoyed a visit from Steve's mom for Thanksgiving, and also kept our 4 favorite dogs, yes all at the same time. Our own version of G.O.A.T. (left to right Riggs Theo Ivy Koa) We had an early snow, and Justin boarded on Snowbird opening day, then hopped a plane to Orlando. Unfortunately no more snow to speak of. Christmas was low-key, but we have ALL enjoyed the week off of work and school.  Someone asked if I'd be happy the year was over, implying hardship, difficulty, etc. We said, "Justin is alive, what is there to move on from?" By the grace of God we are still Four Fabulous Fahrenkrogs. This is a part of the bigger s tor y in his life, which is part of the unique role Justin has in the amazing story God is telling.
